As the main sponsor of the Fondation du Patrimoine (cultural heritage foundation) since 2006, the Total Foundation supports heritage preservation - the restoration of industrial and artisanal heritage , the conversion of notorious elements of regional heritage for cultural and tourism purposes, social inclusion and vocational training in the field of restoration.

Restoring old industrial sites
Whether for a living museum, cultural center, or a space for public readings, the Total Foundation helps communities and associations renovate historic French industrial and handicrafts sites. These entities convert old structures into innovative and attractive public spaces. In partnership with local players, the Foundation thus participates in creating a new dynamic in the regions of France.

The old Leroy wallpaper plant is being transformed into an innovative cultural complex, Les 26 Couleurs (The 26 colors).

The sole imperative is to respect the site’s original architecture and the intent of its creator. In this way, the Foundation participates in stimulating regional economies with attractive and innovative projects.

Professional training worksites
Establishing a restoration worksite as an « open-air school » promotes the social integration of populations who have become excluded from the working world. This action is supported by the Total Foundation. Partnership agreements have been signed with associations specialized in social integration via the restoration of cultural heritage sites. They confirm the Foundation’s concrete commitment in favor of employment.
